Overlooking the orchard are Fig Tree Cottage and Paua Bach, both self contained, private and quiet, ideal for that special time away. Crisp cotton bed linen, fresh fruit and flowers, breakfast hamper and use of BBQ.

A full or continental Mercury Orchard breakfast is included in the price. This includes freshly squeezed orange juice, in season fruit, homemade muesli, our own free range eggs. Ideal for that special time away or for enjoying the rural atmosphere.

For evening meals there are restaurants close by or relax and stay in and use the BBQ on your deck. We normally have fresh garden produce available. Perhaps go fishing and cook your catch and enjoy a glass of New Zealand wine.

The Paua Bach

private and peaceful, casual, country comfort.

Paua Bach is our studio unit, (one large room with separate bathroom) and has a King bed and a divan.
The Bach has a TV, DVD and CD Player. Crisp cotton bed linen, fresh flowers and fruit from the orchard. French doors open to a private deck overlooking the orchard, where breakfast, full or continental is served. Special to the Bach - an outdoor, old fashioned bath (to be taken with bubbles and champagne)

Within a few minutes drive are several restaurants, a 9 hole golf course and Hot Water Beach - where you can dig in the sand and make your own hot water pool.

Our accommodation is close to fabulous Cathedral Cove, Hahei Beach and to Ferry Landing, where a 2 minute ferry trip will take you across to Whitianga.

Mercury Orchard is located on the main road to Cooks Beach on the Coromandel Peninsula which is about 2 hours drive from Auckland City. We are very close to Hot Water Beach where you can dig in the sand and make your own hot pool.
